Since our establishment in 1988, when Bob Russell laid the foundation in a quaint Main Street storefront, Brighton Automotive has undergone remarkable growth over the past three decades. Despite this expansion, our unwavering commitment remains centered on assisting clients from across Ontario in sourcing the essential auto parts and paint supplies they require.

Bill Hare, a seasoned professional hailing from Cobourg, joined the Brighton Automotive team in 1989, contributing 20 years of invaluable experience in the Automotive Aftermarket. A pivotal moment arose in March 1991 when a fire prompted our relocation to the Industrial Park. Undeterred, we continued our upward trajectory.
In August of that same year, Kevin McBride enriched Brighton Auto motive's capabilities by joining as a Body Shop and Paint Expert. A significant milestone occurred in October 1998 when we relocated to our present address on Prince Edward Street. This move not only facilitated continued growth but also marked the inauguration of a showroom, offering customers access to a diverse array of top-rated products.

In December of 2024, Bill having been retired for years, Kevin decided it was his time to step away from the business, selling to his son Brian.  Brian has been a part of the business all his life.  Working his way up to be an excellent customer service representative with a knowledge of paint, hydraulics, heavy equipment, motorcycles, along with auto parts expertise.
